This program is designed to provide all offshore and shore-based personnel employed within an oil / gas specific industry with refresher training on the hazards and mitigation controls associated with working in an offshore environment. The program provides training specific to offshore emergency response procedures and equipment and meets the requirements as listed in the: Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) Atlantic Canada Offshore Petroleum Industry: Standard Practice for the Training and Qualifications of Personnel; Mandatory Safety Training for All Petroleum Installations; and Personal Safety Training.

Training Duration and Timing:
The course is delivered in 6 Lessons.
Approximately 8 hours of practical training is required upon completion of online lessons.

Assessment Schedule:
Following each lesson there is a short Quiz.
Competency Requirement:
A score of 80% or higher is required on the Quiz to pass. The Quiz can be re-taken if a score of 80% the or higher is not achieved.
Pre-requisites:
Trainees are expected to be in a good state of health and physically capable of fully taking part in all practical exercises. Also, a copy of a valid BST/FOET/BOSIET certificate. NOTE: the FOET and BOSIET first three years is only accepted of its four year certification.
